Nicaragua is the 2nd poorest country in Central America and to add to the problem the rising tides have wiped out countless houses. Close to 80% of Nicaraguans live in inadequate homes. A Jiquillilo native, Yascara of the Woman Cooperative donated some land and asked Gerry and Monty from Monty’s Beach Lodge for help to build 10 houses for single mothers in need.
