Halton Elementary Occasional Teachers are excited to partner with Speroway, to help raise funds for the Home of Grace Care Centre in Kenya.

Home of Grace Care Centre is an orphanage and community centre in Kisii, Kenya that supports orphaned and vulnerable children and youth.  It provides a safe and loving home, nutritious meals and access to education and health care.  Home of Grace came to the attention of a group of individuals in Halton over ten years ago.  It is currently ‘home’ to 30 children, all of whom have been referred by the Kenyan Children's Department or abandoned at the doorstep.

In addition, Home of Grace also serves the wider community by providing support to families in the neighbourhood, in part by providing a daily lunch to over 100 local school children.  The children that attend this food program are identified by the local schools and community leaders.  For most of these children, this is their only meal of their day. We are happy to help support the children of these local families who are in such need.

Good nutrition makes it possible for them to learn.  Through education, these children can grow up to be productive, responsible members of their community.  With our help, they have hope for a brighter future!

Every donation will be matched by the Halton Elementary Occasional Teachers up to $5,000.
