Speroway in Haiti

In the midst of ongoing crisis and widespread hunger, Speroway remains a consistent source of hope and nourishment for vulnerable families in Haiti.

Haiti continues to face severe instability, with nearly half of children under five experiencing chronic malnutrition, school closures, and families struggling to find enough food. In Pignon, Speroway’s programs remain active and safe, working through trusted local partnerships and dedicated staff and volunteers on the ground to provide school meals, community feeding programs, and food bag deliveries to vulnerable families.

As violence forces more families to flee the cities, many are arriving in Pignon seeking safety, putting added strain on already limited food resources. Having supported Haiti since the 2010 earthquake, Speroway remains committed through school feeding, orphan sponsorship, and student sponsorship programs—helping ensure children receive the nourishment, stability, and opportunities they need for a brighter future.

Our Work in Haiti

Community & Church Feeding Programs
For many struggling families, local church and community feeding programs serve as a lifeline. Led by trusted pastors and community leaders, these programs provide nutritious meals, a safe gathering place, and spiritual encouragement for people who have nowhere else to turn.

School Feeding Programs
In partnership with programs in Pignon, Speroway helps provide meals to children who would otherwise go hungry at school. When food runs short, children lose focus, fall behind, and risk dropping out altogether. A simple, nutritious meal can mean the difference between staying in school or leaving it. School feeding not only improves health and attendance — it also promotes gender equality, food security, and helps break generational cycles of poverty.

Haiti Public School Support
Speroway is seeking support for 1,000 elementary students in Pignon, Haiti, where many children receive only one meal per day. While local food suppliers have helped offset some costs, we still require $20,000 to feed these students for a full school year. Monthly gifts are especially impactful, helping ensure consistent and reliable meals. Click here to learn more or donate now.

Agricultural & Sustainability Projects
Speroway partners with UCI University agricultural students and local farmers to grow sustainable food sources and promote public health education. Through improved seeds and better farming practices, communities are increasing productivity and strengthening local nutrition and food security. Click here to learn more or donate now.

Mission of Hope Haiti — Child Sponsorship
For $45 per month, you can sponsor a child and, in partnership with MOH, help provide access to education, daily school meals, and hope for a better future. Sponsors can build a meaningful connection through letters and special gifts, creating a personal bond that lasts. Click here to learn more or donate now.

Where Most Needed
By supporting Mission of Hope and Speroway’s general programs in Haiti, you help ensure that children and families have regular access to nutritious food, while strengthening the ability of communities to provide for themselves.
