Children Facing Hunger Alone. They Need Our Help.
There are families right now with no parents, no food, and no one coming to help. Only children trying to survive on their own. This is not a story from the past. This is happening right now. At the beginning of the year, the need is often at its greatest and the support is often at its lowest. Many people give generously at Christmas. But when the new year comes, donations slow down, funding drops, and support from food companies and corporate partners that often help with large food gifts simply is not available. Unfortunately, hunger does not slow down. Children do not stop needing food because the holidays are over. And families in crisis do not get a break.
Eugene is 13. He is Raising his Siblings Alone.
In Kenya, I met Eugene, a 13 year old boy leading his household alone.
Eugene’s father comes and goes, leaving Eugene as the main caregiver for his siblings. His mother struggles with mental health and is gone for long periods of time.
Eugene is raising his siblings, Faith (11), Ishmael (7), and Joseph (5). He cooks for them, protects them, and makes decisions no child should ever have to make. When we arrived, there was almost nothing to eat. Eugene knew how to cook, he simply had nothing left to cook.

This is what desperation looks like. And this is why your help is needed now.
At Speroway, we believe food is more than nourishment. It is immediate care and lasting support. We cannot look away when children are this vulnerable and this hungry.
Children like Eugene and his siblings need our help every month.
This is why monthly provision matters.
This is why steady support matters.
This is why your gift matters.

Feeding With Purpose
Through school feeding, community feeding, crisis response, and nutrition care for mothers and young children, food is distributed through local churches and trusted community leaders who ensure care is delivered responsibly, consistently, and with dignity.
This nourishment helps children: stay in school, focus on learning, regain health, rebuild security and experience hope
Children’s Home
For children who don’t have a family or cannot safely remain at home, Speroway supports a children’s home known as Home of Grace that provides short term and long-term stability and care. We also help struggling families in the neighborhood of the home.
Here, children receive daily nutritious meals, medical care, education access, emotional support, and the stability every child deserves. For these children, food is not just nourishment, it is security, routine, and care.

Higher Education
Through Speroway’s higher education program, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who show promise but lack resources are supported to continue their education.
This program provides educational access, mentorship, practical support, and food for students and their families.
Here are a few ways your gift can help today:
$35 helps provide meals for children for a month
$65 helps provide food baskets for families in crisis
$100 helps support mothers and young children through malnutrition care and nourishment $350 helps cover meals for classroom and community feeding
Your generosity does more than provide help. It protects children, stabilizes families, and builds futures.
